A lyric baritone and multi-instrumentalist, Moses Mackay began his opera career as a Dame Malvina Major Emerging Artist with New Zealand Opera in 2009. He has since sung in opera houses and festivals all over the world.

Most recently, Moses debuted the role of Dulcamara in L'elisir d'amore at Taranto Opera in Italy, before he went on to debut the role of Raimbaud in Rossini’s Le Comte Ory with the New Zealand Opera company. Other key roles Moses has debuted include Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor, Mediterranean Opera Festival), Escamillo (Carmen, Festival Opera) and Alfio (Cavalleria Rusticana, Arte Lirica Festival Veneto). A graduate of the University of Auckland, Moses completed his Masters in Voice at the Welsh International Academy of Voice in 2013, and in 2024 he will assume the role of Voice Fellow to Opernfest Prague.
